John Graham’s first year as the managing director of SAP Canada was quite memorable.
It included a historic partnership with Apple highlighted by SAP HANA cloud platform SDK for iOS that will go through partners. Also the enterprise partnership between Apple and SAP created more mobile work applications based on the HANA platform on devices such as the iPhone and iPad.
Graham also oversaw the SAP PartnerEdge Cloud Choice”profit option” a move meant to accelerate cloud sales among channel partners. The new model will help partners who have concentrated on traditional on-premises move quickly to the cloud.
The company also pivoted aggressively towards the mid-market, and later on in the year outlined a bold agenda for small business.
2016 also saw SAP roll-out its next generation in-memory computing HANA platform lineup called SAP HANA 2. The platform will deliver technology updates twice a year in order to support agile IT.
Graham replaces Bob Elliott in the role. He first joined SAP in 2001, and was most recently the head of its global partner organization.
Throughout his tenure, he has held various roles including chief operating officer for SAP North America, the public sector, the central region’s emerging markets, ecosystem and channels, and line-of-business solution sales.
