CDW Canada announced the appointment of Mary Ann Yule, the company’s Vice President and General Manager, to the Canadian Women in Technology (CanWIT) Advisory Council (CAC).
CanWIT, a division of CATAAlliance, is a national volunteer organization dedicated to expanding and enhancing the careers of women in the advanced technology field. The CAC serves as a governing body to provide guidance and advice in relation to the implementation of CanWIT’s mandate – to support women in Canada’s technology sector – and also offers a community network to assess needs, trends and achievements.
“I am honoured to be selected as a member of this very distinguished group,” says Yule. “The IT industry offers incredible career development and personal growth opportunities for Canadian women. As a person who strongly believes in mentorship and education, I look forward to helping the CAC promote and support the careers of women in IT.”
Yule brings more than 15 years of extensive leadership, marketing, sales, and product and partner management experience to her new role on the Council. Under her leadership, CDW Canada has become one of Canada’s top five technology providers, one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of the top workplaces for women. Through Yule’s guidance, CDW Canada offers programs and initiatives to help nurture female co-workers including the Women’s Opportunity Network.
