To help partners accelerate their business and “navigate the economic recession,” Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) has created Partner Marketing Central to make it easier for partners to create and manage their marketing initiatives.
Luanne Tierney, vice-president of worldwide partner marketing at Cisco, said the new Partner Marketing Central offering is the “next phase” in helping to support partners’ continued development in marketing.
Now, instead of just teaching partners how to “do marketing,” with Partner Velocity, Tierney said Partner Marketing Central enables partners to execute on co-marketing strategies and events. The online tool is available in 13-language translation options and Tierney said partners can customize campaigns or they can use what’s provided “as is.”
”Marketing is an asset for growth and it helps to create demand,” she said. “Partners want help in taking advantage of marketing techniques with things like Web sites and social media. Partner Marketing Central lets partners co-market with us. We’ve gone from teaching partners how to do this (marketing with Partner Velocity), to enabling them with and providing tools for them to co-market with Partner Marketing Central.”
One of the modules within Partner Marketing Central is called Event Center, which provides partners with all of the necessary assets required to execute events.
“Event Center also shows partners how to integrate social media tools so partners can have an in-person or online event,” she said.
