D&H Canada is making another $5 million per month in additional credit available to Canadian SMB resellers through its Business Assurance program, which the distributor hopes will help these VARs secure new business and contribute to the channel’s ongoing recovery.
The Business Assurance program will benefit 300 D&H customers in good standing with extended credit lines. D&H has identified those SMB resellers with core competencies where it sees strong growth potential in the year ahead that can leverage additional credit capacity. D&H’s focus areas include infrastructure providers, system integrators, and resellers who focus on connecting the mobile workforce.
“When our customers succeed, we succeed, so we have a vested interest in providing extra purchasing power to the small-business VAR community we serve,” said Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Canada, in a statement. “An influx of this extent will not only help stimulate growth for a percentage of our customer base, but it will also have an impact on our vendor partners, since this new financial flexibility will translate to product purchases. It’s a win-win situation.”
Tobin added additional credit lets smaller resellers vie for larger bids and be more competitive against larger VARs. The credit increases will be conducted on a rolling basis over the course of 2010, affecting groups of resellers at a time.
