D&H Canada has announced its new foray into the digital signage market, introducing a line of Pro AV solutions for its value added resellers (VARs), in response to growing demand from its SMB market.
According to the press release digital signage is a growing trend for small to medium size offices and businesses, and are now widespread in waiting rooms, boardrooms, airports and even places of worship.
“Solutions in the area of Pro AV and collaboration are seeing considerable expansion in the marketplace. These products bring new capabilities to organizations, both in how their employees communicate, and how they deliver messages to their clientele,” said Randy Churchill, director of marketing and business development at D&H, in the release.
Churchill also tells CDN that the decision to expand the Pro AV and digital signage solutions into its Canadian market was based on feedback from customers that are now seeing these tools as a necessary service, one that they are more comfortable with and are also more affordable. He says providing these solutions is a way to help D&H VARs to optimize on the growing trend.
“From a scale perspective, these tools have come down in price in the last five years to where our VARs can present it as an opportunity to their small businesses that didn’t have an appetite for $50,000 to $60,000 solutions in the past, but can now utilize these solutions for 30 per cent of what it used to be,” Churchill says.
The Pro AV and digital signage solutions will include large format signage, videoconferencing, projectors, audio solutions, media players, mounts and accessories.
D&H is currently in the process of launching and having these tools made available to the channel and has developed an internal team focused on Pro AV/digital signage for North America that can now be utilized by its Canadian partners.
There are currently 12 manufacturing partners that will be offering the new solutions including LG, Samsung and Dell. And Churchill tells CDN, “D&H is continuing to expand our Pro AV solutions, we will have continued new announcements of partnerships over the next three to four months.”
