At the company’s Momentum Conference in Vienna, Austria, EMC’s Information Intelligence Group introduced a seriesof new products and solutions that will aid channel partners in transitioning customers to the cloud.
At the top of the new releases list is Documentum Platform 7.0, which is being marketed as EMC’s next-generation enterprise contentmanagement (ECM) platform. This new platform has been built with the new EMC xCelerated Management System (xMS) technology, which accelerate the deployment of Documentum into VMware-based private-cloud environments. It also includes new security capabilities such as FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) compliance.
EMC followed that up with the release of Documentum xCP 2.0, again this product is being called EMC’s next-generation platform for developing and deploying advancedbusiness and case management solutions, optimized for cloud-baseddeployments including EMC OnDemand. The new release has content and process analytics with a unified solution design tool for solution development.
Finally, EMC Captiva 7.0 is intended to transforms paper documents, faxes and other content into digital data used by enterprise applications. This new release provides capabilities for intelligent enterprise capture, business productivity. New features include: a new configurable desktop client.
EMC also released Document Sciences xPression 4.5 and Documentum Information Rights Management (IRM) 5.1.
