Microsoft whips up Bing app just for Apple’s iPad

Rachel King shares details about Microsoft’s Bing mobile app for the Apple iPad.
“This app is so pretty it will surely make some users forget about a mobile app designed for another large search engine. Bing’s app has pages for all the standard most-searched and simple daily info such as news, weather, traffic, stocks, movie listings and popular searches. But it does so with plenty of graphics, hi-res images and a very clean yet aesthetically pleasing layout. The Bing app is free and available to download from the iTunes App Store now.”

Nicholas Mukhar recaps some recent Spiceworks survey results that surveyed 3,000 SMB It professionals from around the world about their IT budgets.
“The average annual SMB IT budget is now $132,000 – up from $121,770 last year, 26 per cent have allocated budget to improving their hosted IT services, while another 65 per cent of IT departments plan to purchase hosted IT services at some point during the first half of 2011, SMB cloud computing use doubled to 28 per cent of survey participants; and cloud usage will rise to 42 per cent of small businesses this year and 31 per cent of SMBs plan to hire IT staff, the largest increase in the past 18 months.”
