Gateway refreshes for Canada

Two new lines boast AMD NEO processors and ATI graphics

Gateway has introduced Canadian versions of its LT32 and LT22 Series netbook with HD capability.

The new Gateway LT32 and LT22 lines use AMD Athlon II Neo processors and ATI graphics for video playback. Both lines have HDMI 1080p output, which enables users to use a single cable connection for HD video and audio to an external source such as an LCD display.

The Gateway LT32 has an 11.6-inch HD LED-backlit display and measures less than an inch thin and weighs only 2.98 pounds.

The Gateway LT22 netbook has a 10.1-inch LED backlit display that measures less and also is an inch thin weighing 2.76 pounds.

Chris Chiang, retail product marketing manager for the company said the new Gateway LT32 and LT22 are ultra-mobile entertainment powerhouse netbooks that can deliver a heightened level of performance and HD entertainment with the powerful combination of AMD Neo processors, ATI graphics and the crisp and clear HD display.

According to Gateway, users can take all the photos, video, music and documents they want on the go; the LT32 features a large 320GB hard disk drive, while the LT22 has a 250GB hard disk drive. Both feature a six-cell battery that provides up to 5.5 hours in battery life on the LT32 and up to 6.5 hours on the LT22.

The new Gateway LT32 and LT22 netbooks have Wi-Fi b/g/n for connecting at wireless home networks and hotspots. There is also an integrated HD webcam plus a built-in digital microphone.

Gateway also built in a dedicated key for social networking applications.

The netbooks feature a matte chassis blue cover that resists fingerprints with a wave pattern.

Priced at $449.99 the netbooks come with Windows 7 Premium. The Gateway LT22 is available now at$349.99, but it comes with Windows Starter.
