Ontrack Data Recovery claims its partner program membership in Canada grew 80 per cent in 2006.
The company believes this growth is a trend toward preemptive data protection for corporations, OEMs and service providers.
Derek Conklin, partnership manager for Ontrack Data Recovery in Canada, said the explosive growth of the partner program continues to underscore not only the need for data recovery services, but also the growing trend of pre-disaster data protection planning.
The Ontrack program was streamlined to become a single-point-of-contact approach, he said. This promotes centralization as businesses continue to consolidate their operations. Additional benefits such as frequent-user discounts and privileges, worldwide training and support, and new online tools that provide real-time, direct access to Ontrack’s data recovery specialists are also part of the offering.
Additionally, Ontrack saw a doubling in data recovery jobs from Canada alone in 2006. The company operates a full service recovery lab in Toronto.
The company’s recovery solutions include Remote Data Recovery service, In-Lab and On-site service, Easy Recovery ‘Do-it-Yourself’ software and VeriFile, a full pre-service evaluation package.
