Globalive Wireless Management Corp., a subsidiary of Globalive Holdings, yesterday launched WIND, its new brand name that targets the Canadian mobile space.
The Toronto-based company is attempting to make headway in the Canadian mobile market with its new brand name, WIND.
WIND is currently looking to fill 300 positions in customer service and up to 2,000 more positions within the next 12 months.
Today, WIND has sister operations in both Greece and Italy, with over 16.9 million mobile subscribers.
Ken Campbell, CEO of Globalive Wireless, says WIND is positioned to exceed its current competitor’s offerings.
“WIND is founded on the power of conversation and we believe that through a healthy dialogue with our customers, we can create a wireless service that will surpass our competitor’s current offerings,” Campbell said. “It’s time to raise the bar for wireless service in this country and make Canada’s wireless services comparable to the likes of Europe and the United States.”
WIND will operate using four foundational values, which include, dialogue with customers, simplicity, allowing customers to be in control of their wireless experience, and providing value to customers.
Service for WIND will be on all IP HSPA networks and will launch in key markets later this year. Services for WIND will continue to be launched across Canada next year.
