Groupe Millennium Micro is working on a development program for national markets.
At 2017 Millennium Micro annual conference in Laval, Que., the Brossard, Que. headquartered channel community of 261 affiliate solution providers of computer, communications products and services along with 301 IT retailers has been working to help everyone in its community extend its reach across the country.
“We have set up in-house structures to enable our dealers to seek service contracts across Canada. We have established certain criteria that ensure that today we are able to attack the market and serve all forms of banners or organizations that have multiple branches,” said Carl Paquin, President of Millennium Micro.
According to Paquin, an objective of the organization would be to have at least 100 solution providers of services who would have the required level of competence, after having obtained certifications, to deploy and to serve larger territories. In addition, internal structures of the grouping would have been set up to support individual reseller efforts.
“An affiliate in the Timmins area of Ontario can say,” I have a customer with eight branches, but I’m all alone, can you help me? “We can do it now. Before this affiliate was obliged to call five people taken to the left and right, which was causing so many problems that this affiliate could choose to drop the contract. Now he can contact the head office and we put the machine in place,” Paquin said.
According to Millennium Micro vice president Marco Michaud, the head office can also look for business opportunities. “Manufacturers with whom we have partnerships may be interested in using our network. We have contacts to look for opportunities, “he said.
For example, Millennium Micro and one of its affiliates were commissioned last summer as part of a pilot project with Loto-Québec as a sponsor to deploy the wireless network of a festival in Lévis, Quebec, and amplify the cell signal available on the spot, which could translate in 2018 by mandates in other summer festivals in Quebec.
