And Windows 7’s killer feature is …
ZD Net
Adrian Kingsley-Hughes writes about Windows 7 and what it seems to be missing.
“The thing that’s missing in Windows 7 is a killer feature. Windows XP will still be the benchmark for both new hardware and software for some time to come. Sure, Windows 7 brings new stuff to the table, but there’s nothing there that you really need. Put a PC running XP and an identical system running 7 side by side, and both PCs will be able to carry out the same tasks, and I doubt that in real world conditions that there would be any difference in time taken to carry out those tasks, or the reliability of each of the systems.”

MSPmentor

“If you want to go vertical and push deeper into new markets, you need to move outside of your comfort zone from time to time. Start doing lunch-and-learns designed only for the audiences you want to target. Or, start attending vertical market trade shows.”
NVIDIA said to be prepping Ion 2 for late 2009
Engadget
Donald Melanson writes that according to Fudzilla, Nvidia will launch Ion 2 by the end of this year.
“Fudzilla apparently has it on good authority that the company is indeed already hard at work on Ion 2, which promises to bring with it plenty of improvements over the already impressive Ion chipset. Chief among those is a decreased die size, ‘much faster graphics,’ and more than twice the shaders of the original Geforce 9400M /MCP79 chipset that the current Ion is based on (which uses 16 shaders). Not many more details than that, unfortunately, but NVIDIA is supposedly looking to launch Ion 2 by the end of this year.”
