HP has announced that it has appointed Marius Haas as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the ProCurve Networking business. Haas will oversee the group’s worldwide operations, with a focus on expanding its position as a leading networking supplier in the market. He will report to Shane Robison, Executive Vice President, chief strategy and Technology Officer at HP.
Haas previously served as HP’s Senior Vice President of strategy and corporate development. In that role, he led initiatives that focused on improving efficiency and driving growth for HP, including the execution and integration of all acquisitions since 2004. Haas joined Compaq from Intel Corporation in 1995.
“Marius has a tremendous track record of executing against HP’s key strategic initiatives,” said Robison. “He is the right leader to continue driving ProCurve’s aggressive market share gains.”
Brian Humphries will replace Haas as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development for HP, reporting to Robison. Humphries will be responsible for leading HP’s corporate strategic initiatives and merger and acquisition activities.
Humphries, who previously served as vice president of finance for HP Services, has held several finance roles during his 14-year career with HP, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. Prior to his role with HP Services, Humphries served as HP’s Vice President of investor relations.
