HP Canada (NYSE: HPQ) has launched its Total Care Access Card software and service solution portfolio to help resellers find new customers and market opportunities during these challenging economic times.
The Total Care Access Card is an offering under HP’s Total Care program, which is available through HP and its reseller partners.
Michael McAvoy, directory of commercial marketing at HP Canada, said the company’s Total Care program has been around for the past couple of years to help customers better leverage HP products, services and support. The Total Care program helps customers choose the right technology for their business, teaches them how to use it and shows them how to properly manage outdated equipment in an environmentally responsible way.
HP Total Care Access Card is designed for small business customers to help them manage, protect and grow their business, he said.
“The Total Care Access Card looks like a credit card and it has a 16-digit activation code that the end-user uses on a dedicated Web site to take advantage of exclusive offers and discounts,” McAvoy explained. “The card sells for $49.95 through our reseller partner network and it has about $500 worth of special offers.”
Some of the special offers include access to free Yahoo search engine marketing, rebates on select HP ProLiant Servers, access to free recycling services, and more.
The Total Care Access Card is a great way for partners to get beyond just selling hardware solutions on a transactional basis to their customers, McAvoy said. Instead, the card helps partners open new doors of opportunity by helping to broaden reseller and end-user conversations.
Partners can make a margin off the card and they also can receive a$5 spiff on top of every card they sell, McAvoy said. To make even more money, resellers can bundle the offering as part of a complete solution to anything they may sell.
“Small business customers are faced with a number of challenges,” he said. “Businesses are first and foremost concerned with running their business, and these cards will open doors for partners to talk about the services, software, support and other solutions they can provide to the customer.”
The offers on the card are available through October 31. The good news is that end-users will still be able to take advantage of the card’s offerings up to 30 days after that date too, McAvoy said.
Beginning November 1, new offerings will be a part of the card, he added.
