HP Inc. has gone from unveiling some of the largest and most expensive printers in the world to what it now claims is the smallest all-in-one.
The DeskJet 3700 All-in-One features print, scan and copy capabilities in a package that is about half the size of other all-in-one printers in its class, measuring 42.5 cm x 17.8 cm x 13.7 cm
The printer manages to stay compact by adding a motor to the scanning portion of the device. Rather than laying an image down flat for a light to pass over, it is fed through the device and over the scanning components.
HP is marketing the device to the student crowd with limited space and budget – it costs just CAD $89.99.
In addition to the form factor, the printer is also a smart device, and integrates with smartphones and tablets for cloud printing.
Furthermore, it is compatible with HP’s ink subscription plan Instant Ink, starting at $3.99 per month.
