In another boon for the prairie technology sector, Hewlett Packard Co.’s enterprise services business has announced the opening of the HP Canadian Regional Delivery Centre (RDC) in Winnipeg to help clients with enterprise application delivery.
The new centre will build on HP’s existing Microsoft .Net Centre of Excellence and SAP delivery practice already in Winnipeg, and will be HP’s 11th Regional Delivery Centre worldwide. It will provide enterprise application development, management and integration services to Canadian and international clients with .Net and SAP applications and platforms.
“Applications are the lifeblood of today’s enterprises, supporting everything from payroll to new mobile services, and IT departments are under immense pressure to deliver new applications faster while improving service levels,” said Bruce Pearce, vice-president and general manager of HP Canada enterprise services, in a statement. “The deep expertise and services offered by the HP Canadian Regional Delivery Centre will enable organizations to become more agile by reducing complexity, while increasing service quality.”
HP said it will leverage local partners and consultants for the delivery of services through the Canadian RDC, along with its Industrialized Delivery System, a global delivery model that brings together HP industry and solutions experts, best practices, IP, and tools for consistent service delivery.
