Ingram Micro Inc. has developed a new business partnership specifically for the Canadian market with PernixData.
PernixData is a vendor based in San Jose, Calif. that focuses on scale-out storage management for virtualized applications.
Under the new agreement, Ingram Micro Canada will offer PernixData FVP and Architect solutions to its network of channel partners. The PernixData’s FVP and Architect software offers the channel a way to provide scale-out performance and management to any storage environment, while maximizing the responsiveness of virtualized applications and minimizing infrastructure costs, the company said.
PernixData FVP creates a low latency, fault tolerant I/O acceleration using high-speed server media (i.e. Flash and/or RAM) to ensure VM performance with seamless operations, scale-out growth, and fault tolerance.
Meanwhile, Architect is a software platform for holistic data centre design, deployment, operations and optimization. Ingram says this solution combines a best-in-class user experience with robust real-time analytics and design recommendations to deliver unprecedented visibility and control of virtualized applications and the underlying storage infrastructure.
David Mason, executive director, Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro Canada, said PernixData’s software is a welcome addition to the portfolio of solutions, providing demonstrated value to channel partners and their customers looking to solve storage performance and management issues in a completely non-disruptive and scalable manner.
Kristin Carnes, vice president of channel sales at PernixData, said partnering with Ingram in Canada will help the company leverage their dedicated storage team and extensive reseller base to accelerate expansion of PernixData FVP and Architect software solutions in Canada.
