IT Cloud Solutions (ITCloud.ca) recently announced the acquisition of Quebec-based Cloud-IT, a company that helps businesses implement and manage cloud-based technology.
The acquisition increases ITCloud.ca’s reach and resources in providing cloud services to its already large number of partners, mainly managed services providers (MSPs) and cloud services providers (CSPs).
Earlier this year, ITCloud.ca was named a Microsoft 2-tier distributor for its Cloud Solution Provider Indirect program, making it one of only six in Canada. This new acquisition deepens its connection as a Microsoft partner, as Cloud-IT specializes exclusively in Microsoft Office 365, said David Latulippe, executive vice-president of ITCloud.ca
“The acquisition of Cloud-IT firmly rounds out our service offering and underscores our commitment to the small and medium business market. ITCloud.ca has an excellent reputation for providing MSPs with exceptional service and support [and] this move enables us to deepen our relationships with MSPs across Canada,” said Latulippe in a July 10 press release.
In addition to gaining resources and reach, ITCloud.ca gains a valuable member in Cloud-IT’s executive director, Steve Noel, who is a Microsoft Office 365 MVP.
This certification is given to individuals for outstanding technical experience and knowledge sharing of Microsoft technologies, and it opens doors for ITCloud.ca as the certification means greater access to Microsoft offerings, which could mean an increase in sale opportunities.
“The acquisition of Cloud-IT makes perfect sense for ITCloud.ca. Having an MS O365 MVP on our team, surrounded by highly skilled MS technicians, gives us a competitive edge and allows us to be more advanced in the market,” said ITCloud.ca’s CEO, Mirco Cristoni.
ITCloud.ca said this move will provide deeper cloud solution resources and knowledge specifically to its MSP clients. Starting in the fall it plans to offer ITCloud Academy, providing training and certification to its partners as well as new service and consulting departments.
“From the beginning we’ve always worked with partners, sharing some of our best practices, co-selling or delivering services on their behalf, and we’ve always had a strong connection with the Microsoft partners,” said Noel, “So this union makes sense and strengthens ITCloud.ca’s offering to the market.”
