Eastman Kodak on Wednesday announced the ESP 3250 and ESP 5250 All-in-One (AiO) printers. They’re priced at $130 and $170 respectively.
The ESP 3250 and ESP 5250 are both three-in-one devices, capable of printing, copying and scanning. Both have USB 2.0 interfaces and feature print speeds of up to 30 pages per minute in black and 29 pages per minute in color. Both have Contact Image Sensor (CIS) scanners that work at 1,200 PPI at 24 bit.
They also both feature “intelligent paper tray systems” that will automatically adjust settings based on what type of paper and size you’ve inserted. Kodak also vaunts the price of ink cartridges — black cartridges cost $10 each while five-color ink cartridges are priced at $15.
The ESP 3250 has a 1.5-inch color LCD display and memory card slots for SD, SDHC, Mini SD, MMC, Memory Stick, and Memory Stick Pro formats. The ESP 5250 adds 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, and sports a 2.4-inch LCD display.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later, G4/1.2GHz or faster (including Intel), 512MB RAM, 200MB hard disk space.
