Changes have hit Dell EMC.
Global channel chief John Byrne will be moving into a new role as head of North American Commercial Sales, while Joyce Mullen will be taking over leadership of the global channels business.
“Joyce will be a phenomenal leader as she takes the reins of the $43 billion Global Channels business,” says a company release to its partner community. “She brings tremendous savvy, instincts and commitment to the role, having lead OEM and IoT solutions for several years. Joyce has been instrumental in building the Dell EMC Partner Program, and will carry forth the baton of continuing to make it the envy of the industry.”
Mullen was previously the senior vice president and general manager of global OEM and Internet of Things solutions at Dell EMC. She has been with Dell since 1999, and has held roles such as director of service operations, materials and repair, and client support, before moving into vice president roles of small and medium-sized business services, Americas sales operations, public marketing, global alliances, and global OEM solutions before her current position, according to LinkedIn.
“Our collective opportunity is immense,” the release says. “John Byrne has led our Global Channels for the past year and a half, and his passion for the business, and for our Partners, is undeniable. With his team and you, he has set us on a powerful trajectory as we prepare for the next year.”
North America Commercial Sales is Dell EMC’s largest commercial market and “one that works closely with the channel. John’s sales acumen, strategic vision and ‘People First’ approach will undoubtedly help further grow that business to all our mutual benefit,” the company adds.
There will be more to come.
