We are already a month into 2017 and Xerox Canada, Google and Check Point Software have made significant leadership changes.
The first major move came from Xerox Canada. After serving a stint south of the border, Xerox Corp. veteran and channel chief John Corley is coming home to Canada to lead Xerox Canada.
Corley’s latest post in his 22-year tenure at Xerox follows previous posts in Canada as the vice-president of Canadian operations, and a senior role in sales and marketing. He even got his start in 1994, and was on Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 list in 2008. He was also recognized with Xerox’s CEO Award that same year for his work in a $1.5 billion acquisition of Global Imaging Systems.
Corley takes over from Al Varney, who had been president since 2014. Varney has moved across the pond to be the president of Xerox’s North, South, and Central Europe position.
In his new role, Corley will be responsible for the go-to-market strategy, operations, marketing, sales and services delivery for clients of all sizes.

Google Channel Chief
With Google‘s renewed focus on cloud, the tech giant has drafted Bertrand Yansouni as its new worldwide channel chief.
Yansouni joined Google this past November as the vice president of global partner sales and strategic alliances for Google Cloud after previously working for current Google Cloud executive vice president Diane Greene at VMware. He was the director of channel sales for VMware for nearly three years while Greene was CEO of the company.
Since November, Yansouni’s focus has been on Google Cloud’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service offerings. He has replaced Murali Sitaram as Google’s channel chief.
For the last four years Yansouni led the partner program at Cloudera, a big data startup. The Standford graduate’s history also includes worldwide field operations positions at Delpix and Coverity, as well as a VP of channel sales at Riverbed, according to his LinkedIn account.
