StarTech.com, the London, Ont.-based manufacturer of hard-to-find connectivity parts, has completed work on a major expansion of its corporate office including its warehouse facility by more than 40 per cent.
StarTech.com, which was founded in 1985 by Paul Seed and Ken Kalopsis, also increased its workforce by more than 40 per cent in the last two years and it currently has 165 employees based in London. The plan now is to add about 30 new employees at its corporate office. StarTech.com has increased its operation in the U.S. and in the U.K., France, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Mexico.
Seed said he was thrilled that Startech.com’s ambitious expansion process is now complete, giving the company the room it needs to accommodate the rapidly expanding team. “We now have the facilities and room we need to grow and serve our customers around the world. In the past year alone we have expanded into Italy, Belgium and Mexico and we now have operations in eight countries worldwide. Our expanded corporate office provides us with the space and resources we need to support this rapid growth,” said Seed, who is the president and CEO of the company.
StarTech.com’s current head office was constructed in 2003 and this is the first expansion since that time. StarTech.com continues to be in expansion mode with plans to grow its London workforce and expand into Germany.
