OnX Enterprise Solutions Ltd. has acquired the ownership shares in FoxWise Technologies Inc., an authorized Aboriginal IT company in Canada.
ONX did not provide any details on the purchase amount.
Ed Vos, president of ONX said that the company wanted to provide our clients with options for the procurement of IT solutions and that partnering with a known company such as FoxWise makes good business sense.
This deal also gives ONX the opportunity to collaborate with Aboriginal people community through Canada’s PSAB (Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business).
Sam Damm, long time president of FoxWise said the acquisition will take FoxWise to the next level in helping us to achieve one of our overriding goals, which is to bridge the gap between the high-tech industry and First Nations. This will be accomplished by the development of an Aboriginal workforce through the process of recruiting, training and hiring.
According to Damm, this partnership will support the Federal Framework for Aboriginal Economic Development by giving access to a larger network of technical resources which will increase our visibility, bringing our status to a national scale with marketing opportunities across Canada.
FoxWise, based in Ottawa, is a reseller of computer systems and enterprise IT equipment, as well as an IT professional services company with a primary focus on the Canadian Federal Government and Aboriginal markets. FoxWise qualifies as an Aboriginal Business under the PSAB program, in which the Government of Canada commits to spend five per cent of its entire budget for goods and services ($20 Billion) with Aboriginal companies.
