Opalis Software, Inc., a provider of run book automation (RBA) software that automates IT operational processes, announced certification of Opalis Integration Server integration with BMC Remedy Action Request (AR) System.
The combined offering enables customers to integrate and automate incident and problem management processes to reduce costs, increase performance, and extend availability.
Opalis, based in Toronto, said it is the first RBA vendor to offer certified integrations with both BMC Remedy ITSM version 6 and BMC Performance Manager. Opalis Integration Pack for BMC Remedy AR System automatically creates, modifies, and closes requests based on system activity.
With Opalis Integration Server and the Integration Pack for BMC Performance Manager, customers can automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks such as consolidating events, performing routine diagnostic steps, and running escalation procedures.
Opalis Integration Packs extend integration to popular service and system management solutions to automate maintenance procedures, problems and event life cycles, and data transactions, the company said.
Using the Opalis Integration Pack for BMC Remedy AR System, along with Integration Packs for other monitoring and service management products, Opalis can automatically consolidate and co-ordinate events for bi-directional integration between system management products.
