A new collaboration will make it easier for the channel community to get their hands on hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions for their datacentres.
Pivot3 has announced a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics, who will use its channel ecosystem to bring Pivot3’s HCI solutions to its US reseller base.
Arrow’s role as a value-added distributor and its vast reseller community will aid Pivot3 in its “aggressive growth and expansion” plans in the HCI market, the company says. It will also play a crucial role in the company’s OEM relationship with Lenovo, providing “configuration services for Pivot3’s platform on Lenovo servers.”
“Arrow is a premier global distributor with significant experience supporting game-changing technologies like hyperconvergence,” Mark Maisano, vice president of channel sales at Pivot3, says in an Oct. 25 press release. “As demand for our Acuity HCI platform grows, Arrow’s breadth, depth and expertise will be a tremendous resource for positioning our solutions through the channel. We’re eager to collaborate and work side by side with Arrow in supporting HCI adoption throughout the US market.”
Pivot3’s Acuity HCI platform combines a policy-based QoS engine with a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) flash data path, “making it ideal for consolidating mixed-application workloads onto a common infrastructure.”
This collaboration follows Pivot3’s Global Channel Partner Program expansion in August 2017, which was meant to help channel providers differentiate and profit in the fast-growing HCI market.
Arrow plans to leverage the partnership to equip its provider ecosystem with “solutions to support a broader range of use cases, including data centre modernization, end-user computing, big data and analytics, enterprise, database, and mission-critical streaming media applications.”
