Plantronics shows the home worker some love
The Tech Chronicles
Ryan Kim has the latest on a device that is a phone that handles landline, cell and Internet calls using a Bluetooth headset.
”But then you also get a Bluetooth headset that recharges in the same base. With the Bluetooth headset you can pair it with the cordless phone and your cell phone so if a call comes through either your cell phone or your landline, you can pick it up on your Bluetooth headset. That’s a nice addition because in most cases, home workers who like talking on headsets but still wanted to roam around the house had to have a wire connected to their cordless phone to their headset. No more wire.”
Cyber crime does not pay
Tech Dirt
Mike Masnick has the story about the person who uploaded Star Wars. He is now wearing an ankle bracelet and has been banned from every using Linux. Harsh!
“ When discussing how silly it is that the movie industry freaks out about people uploading movies online, we often point to the case of the last Star Wars movie. That movie was leaked the week before the movie came out in the theaters and was downloaded by fans around the world — and yet it only seemed to get people more excited to go out and see it in the theaters. There were huge lines and theaters sold out left and right.”
