To better support its growing reseller base, Titus, a security and compliance solution vendor for e-mails and documents, has hired a channel marketing manager, launched a new partner portal and expanded its solution line.
When CDN caught up with Mark Fitchett at Titus last summer, he was the company’s director of North American channels. Now, he is Titus’ director of global channel sales and oversees the company’s growing reseller ecosystem.
Recognizing that it needed to add more channel support to help sustain its growth, Marcus Rossato was brought into Titus as its channel marketing manager in February. Rossato joined Titus leaving a four-year career with IBM (NYSE: IBM) behind, as an executive in IBM’s software group.
To put its channel growth into perspective, Fitchett said last year, the company only had between 15 to 20 resellers. Today, that number has increased to about 75 resellers in 37 countries around the world, he added.
“With the launch of our reseller program last summer, we’ve been growing our partner base significantly,” Fitchett said. “We have about six to seven Canadian partners now and we’re looking for more.”
Rossato said when he first joined Titus, one of his mandates was to create a reseller portal for partners. The portal is divided into four sections titled, understand, sell, connect and technical. Here, partners have access to resources such as data sheets, videos, whitepapers, selling tools, sales training, deployment guides and more, he said.
The Titus partner portal also acts as a communication outlet for its reseller partners to get in touch with Titus. In addition to this, partners can also use the portal to register their deals online, he added.
Recently, the company also added to its flagship product lines which included Titus Message Classification, an e-mail security solution and Titus Document Classification for classifying documents at the point in which they’re created. The new products include Titus Aware for Microsoft Outlook, Titus Classification for Desktop and Titus E-mail Classification and Policy Enforcement for IBM Lotus Notes.
