Tech Data is now showing Canadian and U.S. solution providers its 30 Days to Cloud Analytics Program designed to provide the channel a consolidated approach to migrate, integrate and manage workloads to cloud business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.
The program works to reduce barriers to entry and time to market for channel partners looking to capitalize on opportunities in the growing cloud analytics market. Tech Data’s 30 Days to Cloud Analytics targets organizations who are leveraging cloud analytics as a way to reduce operational costs and gain better insights into their business, said Colin Blair, vice president, Data Analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) at Tech Data.
Blair added that the 30 Days to Cloud Analytics program offers lower capital barriers and time-to-return on investment for solution providers. The program has a repeatable cloud data migration and integration framework and by adding this tool partners now have a new way to accelerate their deployments.
According to industry analyst firm IDC, cloud will be a preferred delivery mechanism for analytics by 2018. This will partly be driven by new cloud pricing models, which are expected to contribute to five times higher growth in spending on cloud versus on-premise analytics solutions.
With Tech Data’s 30 Days to Cloud Analytics program, channel partners will be able to leverage this trend and extend capabilities without the ramp-up time traditionally required to develop in-house expertise. Additionally, Tech Data plans to support the program with various cloud and analytics vendor solutions that work in conjunction with this offering.
One of Tech Data’s vendor partners for the 30 Days to Cloud Analytics program is enterprise cloud data management company Informatica of Redwood City, Calif. Rodney Foreman, senior vice president, Global Partner Ecosystem at Informatica, said as clients move workloads to the cloud, hybrid data management becomes a challenge. Programs such as 30 Days to Cloud Analytics, together with solutions from Informatica may enable channel partners to successfully help clients unlock data from their cloud analytics deployments and harness it for business insights and end-to-end business process.
