Toronto-based Top 100 solution provider Empowered Networks is known for its networking and data centre expertise, but through a new partnership it hopes to establish themselves in the automation market.
Empowered Networks has partnered with QualiSystems, an East Rutherford, N.J.-based vendor of automation solutions for data centres, converged infrastructure, and software defined networks. QualiSystems has two flagship products: CloudShell and TestShell.
CloudShell enables self-service, auto-provisioning and reclamation, and continuous integration over complex environments including physical, virtual and public cloud infrastructure.
TestShell offers an object-based test and continuous integration automation platform that integrates seamlessly with CloudShell infrastructure orchestration.
Empowered Networks plans to offer QualiSystems’ entire product portfolio including CloudShell infrastructure orchestration and TestShell test automation solutions. The partnership is expected to provide Empowered Networks’ customers with a self-service, converged infrastructure provisioning, cloud orchestration, and automation platform. For QualiSystems, Empowered Networks becomes its first and only Canadian channel partner. However, Gillaspy Associates, a manufacturer’s rep firm from Somis, Calif., does do business in B.C. for QualiSystems.
Brian Hepburn, CEO of Empowered Networks, said QualiSystems’ broad portfolio of orchestration and automation solutions provides the tools customers need to design and deploy complex cloud, SDN and NFV environments with greater productivity, reduced cycle times, and improved returns on their investments in lab and testing infrastructure.
Lior Koriat, CEO at QualiSystems, said of the partnership that as organizations consolidate their IT and network infrastructure to software-defined and cloud models, achieving rapid time to value is a key objective. The partnership of QualiSystems and Empowered Networks helps end users speed innovation and return-on-investment on complex network and datacenter infrastructure.
