Two American companies have announced a partnership to provide cloud services in Montreal.
Data centre provider Cologix, which in July launched Cloud.ca with Montreal-based CloudOps, is now partnering with cloud hosting company Webair to offer solutions.
Garden City, New York-based Webair offers colocation and managed solutions in addition to cloud hosting. It will be using Cologix’ MTL2 data centre, the Denver, Colorado-based infrastructure provider’s main Canadian facility.
According to Cologix, Webair is will have low switching costs in optimizing its network. Webair is also able to access Cologix’s Remote Hands services for technical support without the need for local staff.
“Montreal is becoming an emerging hub for cloud service providers based on its position as a gateway market to Europe and its attractive power rates,” Scott Adams, Cologix Canada general manager said in a statement. “Cologix is pleased to extend our support for Webair’s growth and shine a light on its services to our other customers.”
