Psion opens up office in Tokyo
Mississauga, Ont. — Psion Teklogix Inc. opened up a new office in Tokyo, Japan, which will enable it to meet the growing demand for mobile computing solutions in the Japanese market and expand its presence in the Asia Pacific region. Kazo Aoki, representative
sales director for Japan, will lead the office. Psion Teklogix, which provides mobile computing, wireless data and RFID solutions, said productivity, customer service and improved economic situation in the region has provided it with an opportunity to expand its current business.
Psion Teklogix opened an office in Shanghai, China in 2003.
Tech Data adds Fellowes to mix
Mississauga, Ont. — Broadline distributor Tech Data Canada recently announced the addition of Fellowes products to its accessories line-up, including computer and consumer electronics and paper shredders. Tech Data said resellers will be able to expand their accessories portfolios with these products available to them.
Tech Data will also carry and support power protection, keyboards, input devices, mouse pads, jewel cases and cleaning products under its consumables business unit.
EMC targets Microsoft
Chicago — EMC Corp. announced a mid-sized IT organizational solution to drive down the cost and increase the productivity of Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail environments. The new EMC Express Solution for E-Mail is the first in a series from EMC in the company’s Express Solutions line, which include packaged hardware, software and ILM services.
Using automated policy management software, Express Solution for E-Mail helps organizations with thousands of e-mail users.
