To more efficiently and effectively communicate to its students and staff in the event of any emergency or security situation, Sheridan College has implemented a new Cisco unified communications (UC)-based emergency response and notification solution, with integration help from local partner, Unis Lumin.
The Sheridan Incident Response and Emergency Notification solution, also known as SIREN, utilizes the college’s existing infrastructures and will be used across all three campus locations.
In the event of an emergency or other security incident, messages, alerts and information can be pushed out to thousands of wireless devices both on and off the campus to help keep everyone safe.
