Rumour: Apple to launch MacBook Touch?
Wired
Brian X. Chen explores a rumour sent to the attention of MacDailyNews on Apple possibly releasing a new touchscreen Mac tablet product in the next few months.”Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured Multi-Touch,’ the anonymous source told MDN. ‘Gesture library. Full Mac OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion’s haptic tech. Slot-loading SuperDrive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty expensive to produce initially, but sold at ‘low’ price that will reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will…App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps, too. By October at the latest.’

Network World
Mike Masnick weighs in on the idea of making cyber-bullying a criminal offense.
“ We’ve already highlighted such an effort underway in the US, but now a bunch of teachers in Canada are pushing to make cyberbullying a criminal offense. Yes, it’s important to deal with cyberbullies, but charging them with a crime clearly goes too far.”
A few thoughts on Facebook’s redesign
ZD Net
Steve O’Hear offers his thoughts on social networking Web site, Facebook’s new redesign.
“The new design borrows from the iPhone version of Facebook. This is actually a good thing, since the iPhone-optimized version of Facebook, though offering less functionality, really improved on the site’s user interface. In particular, the use of tabs to section off different elements of Facebook – activity stream (the wall including status updates), profile, photos – has been inherited from the iPhone app.”
