Value-added resellers can look forward to discounted networking solutions in 2017.
Zyxel Communications, a US-based secure broadband networking, internet access, and connected home products provider, announced in December that it would be discounting its Freedom Program, the company’s family of enterprise-class networking products, to make it more profitable for resellers.
Value-added resellers will now receive larger discounts for deal registrations and up to 50 per cent off the cost of not-for-resale (NFR) products, according to a company press release.
Zyxel’s Freedom Program consists of two tiers: the basic ‘Advocate’ level and the premium ‘Ally’ tier, which is open to partners that sell $10,000 or make four transactions per quarter. With these new changes, the company says ‘Advocate’-tier resellers will be eligible for double the margin on specific Zyxel products – listed here – and ‘Ally’-level resellers can obtain triple the margin.
Zyxel has shifted its focus away from just selling products and is moving towards “becoming a networking ally” to its customers and partners, the company’s vice president, Matt Dargis, explained in a statement.
“Becoming an ally to our partners means more than simply helping our partners succeed by providing them with the solutions they need to solve their customers’ challenges. It also means that we need to be a vendor partner that also contributes to our customer’s financial success,” he said, adding that the announced discounts and margin boosters to the Freedom Program will do just that.
The Freedom Program offers benefits such as: free product webinars, free technical training, limited lifetime warranty on specific product families, free technical support, FREEDOM 2x Margin Booster, deal registration, meet or beat competitor pricing, and NFR product discounts. The ‘Ally’ level adds additional benefits, including “24/7 technical support, FREEDOM 3x Margin Booster, lead referral, sales engineer access, and advanced RMA replacement”, the company says.
