It’s CES 2019 and that means a bonanza for new laptop announcements. Each one has something just a little bit different to stand out from the pack. For the Acer Swift 7, it’s claiming to be the world’s thinnest laptop.
The Acer Swift 7 is an Ultrabook that’s a hair under 9 mm thick. It’s targeted at professionals that really value portability, a long battery life, and staying connected.
It features a built-in Intel LTE chip, so you can stay connected via your wireless data plan. There’s a physical nano SIM slot and support for eSIM technology.
For a small package, it really packs a punch. There’s an Intel Core i7 processor, seventh-generation. It’s 256 GB of solid state disk storage and 8 GB of memory. Acer says the battery will last for up to 10 hours.
The screen is a full HD, IPS display, and it’s made from Corning Gorilla Glass. It’s also a touch screen. The keyboard is also backlit, so you can use it even in a dim setting.
The Acer Swift 7 will be available in North America in March with a starting price of $1,699 USD. I guess the world’s thinnest laptop requires a fatter wallet.
