Jolera Inc., the CDN Channel Elite Awards Solution Provider of the Year, beat out ten finalists in this category, including Clear Concepts, ESI Technologies, i3 Solutions, Infinite IT Solutions, IT North, IT Weapons, Itergy, New Signature Canada, ProServeIT Corp. and WBM.
Each of these companies presented a compelling application and earned at least seven out of ten in the scoring. CDN congratulates each of them. Their entries were amazingly innovative and for our judges this made it particularly challenging to choose the ultimate winner. But as always, something sets the winner apart.
As in past years, the winner of this category must demonstrate that they provided a total end-to-end IT solution — solving a major problem or one which eliminated multiple IT pain points over the course of 2014. And our winner did just that.
With a mandate to constantly challenge the technology norm, this Toronto-based solution provider has innovation in its DNA.
Approached by the Ministry of Transportation – Ontario’s Drive Test program, they were tasked with streamlining more than a million driver documents, 725,000 road tests, half a million written tests, and 600,000 driver license applications.
You can see now why the roads in Toronto are so clogged.
Taking the time to truly understand the processes and the needs, tonight’s grand winner focused on improving transaction speed, accuracy and reducing customer wait times.
They created a physical production co-location service strengthened by a high-security-penetration management system, complete with full 24/7 service desk support, a one-hour failover from production to disaster recovery system, redundant MPLS network design, new tablet testing functionality for examiners, and touch screen kiosk stations for customers.
They used Tech Data’s facility for imaging – And they provided all of this as a managed service with detailed monitoring, key reporting metrics, scalability, and centralized billing. This was no easy task as it involved co-ordination with six third-party vendors and nine custom applications.
The results? Increased efficiencies, a dramatic reduction in blackout times and savings of more than two million dollars.
