Canada may soon have its 10th cellular carrier, providing consumers and businesses in Nova Scotia and PEI with more choice when it comes to picking their wireless services provider.
According to a report in ComputerWorld Canada, while Eastlink is playing coy on the timing, the cable company is close to launching. At a recent news conference, company CEO Leo Bragg said they’ve already erected 150 towers in the two provinces, and the network will use LTE technology.
“We’re close to a cellular announcement,” Bragg told reporters and industry analysts. “It’s going to be soon.”
