Ottawa-based ITUtility.Net is targeting managed service providers with a new hosting service that features Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM and Lync as a cloud service.
Microsoft Canada is providing Lync to those channel partners signed up by ITUtility.Net either delivered on-premise or in a hosted cloud environment without any upfront capital expenses, the company said.
ITUtility.Net plans to offer Lync as a standalone product or as part of a much bigger cloud solution.
Microsoft Lync is available for Windows and mobile devices through ITUtility.NET partners only.
Inside the ITUtility.Net offering Lync will enable managed service providers the ability to streamline all communications channels into one. ITUtility.Net is also cutting out the licenses to purchase, servers to maintain or manage.
Company president Marc-Henri Lauzon said the need for businesses to have real-time collaboration is becoming a necessity for them to do more with less. Microsoft Lync fits this need very well by providing IM, video conferencing, presence information and full desktop sharing with an online conferencing service. ITUtility.Net is now bundling Lync into its offering to integrate the value of Exchange and SharePoint into a single SKU.
