It took some seven months, but networking vendor Cisco Systems has found its next partner marketing chief.
In a blog posting late last week, Bruce Klein, Cisco’s senior vice-president for U.S. public theatre, announced that Sherri Liebo as the new vice-president of global partner marketing. Liebo started work today and in her new role will be responsible for channel marketing initiatives such as the Marketing Velocity conference and the company’s portal called Partner Marketing Central.
Klein said that the company’s channel partner-facing teams play a critical role in Cisco’s overall strategy. Liebo has been working for Cisco since 2005, most recently leading marketing for Cisco Services, a $10-billion global business. She’s had a number of key roles over the past eight years, including vice-president of services and service provider marketing and vice-president of customer segments marketing.
One of Liebo’s best achievements at the company was the creation and launch of Smart Care, a Cisco Smart Service tailored for services attachment opportunities in small business and mid-market customer engagements.
The Global Partner Marketing team also covers Cisco’s strategic partner marketing, channel programs, services partner marketing and strategic partner communications teams. All these teams are under Klein’s Worldwide Partner Organization.
