Last week I took in two conferences; the VARnex Conference in Las Vegas and Avaya’s Americas International Conference in Cancun, Mex.
At both events I was peppered with questions about Eric Gales, who has landed a great job as the country manager of VMware Canada.
What was interesting about the dialogue around Gales’ appointment was that it came, for the most part, from American executives. This indicated to me that Gales has a lot of name recognition in the industry.
One U.S. executive did not think he would have any credibility problem promoting VMware solutions over Microsoft since in business each deal is different.
You can read more about Gales in my column in the new CDN digital edition.
