Richmond Hill, Ont.-based FlexITy Solutions Inc., a member of the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers list, has added Arbor Networks, a network security vendor, to its select portfolio of technology partners.
One of Arbor Networks’ flagship products is called Pravail and it addresses a broad array of threats, including DDoS, malware, botnets, advanced and insider and BYOD challenges.
Arbor’s Pravail represents a new type of on-premise security solution, focused on helping to secure the enterprise perimeter from threats to the availability of a business’ applications and services — in essence, its livelihood, FlexITy said. This solution specifically helps protect against application-layer distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, and was built to stop attacks promptly without upfront configuration or any user interaction. It delivers DDoS attack identification and mitigation capabilities that can be rapidly deployed, even during an attack. Enterprises can also integrate Pravail upstream with their service providers’ DDoS protection services to help stop volumetric DDoS attacks.
Another solution called Pravail NSI monitors network traffic data and uses advanced analytics to help organizations close the security gaps left by firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), FlexITy said. This product looks inside the network and delivers the situational awareness required to identify advanced threats, internal network misuse or abuse, and also infected mobile devices connected to the network. With Pravail NSI, Arbor has created a platform for delivering the actionable security intelligence that is critical for identifying and stopping attacks.
