Youths in Ontario will now be able to learn about career opportunities in the trades and technology sectors, made possible by the support of the Government of Canada.
The Government of Canada’s Youth Awareness program will provide Skills Canada Ontario with $377,794 to help organize and promote this year’s Ontario Technological Skills Competition, which started yesterday, and ends tomorrow.
“We couldn’t fulfill our mandate of promoting careers in the skilled trades and technologies to Ontario’s youth without this important funding,” said Ms. Gail Smyth, Executive Director of Skills Canada Ontario.
