Niagara Falls, Ont. – HDS Canada at its annual Canadian Channel Summit made several channel program enhancements. The virtualized storage vendor’s goal is to put all of its channel benefits onto one bookmarked page online.
Gregory Bucyk, manager, global modular channels for HDS, said channel partners “no longer have to go on an Easter egg hunt”. HDS Canada, under its True North Channel Program, has developed new marketing kits with new ways for solution providers to spend accrued marketing dollars.
This includes enhanced marketing materials, promotions and a way to calculate rebates.
HDS is launching a social media portal to be part of the company’s streamlined approach for its channel benefits.
Channel partners should look for new tools and pre-sales support in this section. “This is a pain point for our channel. We ask them to call us for it,” Bucyk said.
He added that this is still a work and progress for the company but that partners will be able to enhance their solutions with tools such as the Capacity Drive proof-of-process tool and the Power and Weight tool.
Over time Bucyk said that HDS will provide the channel with AMS tools and a storage economics calculator.
“We are doing this as quickly as we can because you need all these tools to sell,” Bucyk said.
HDS Channel Winners
During the HDS Canada Canadian Channel Summit the company awarded three True North partners for their achievements in promoting and selling HDS products in 2011.
The winners are Ottawa-based TeraMach, Compugen, and The Herjavec Group (formerly Zentra).
