The HP Managed Print Specialist Resell program is now a cloud-based tool, according to the hardware giant. The company announced at its Discover conference that the Managed Print Specialist program has been extended to include more sales options intended to help qualified partners control the managed print services (MPS) selling process and retain direct contract ownership without making a substantial investment in new infrastructure.
Another enhancement to the program is the HP Express Decision Portal, which provides channel partners a platform for creating proposals and quote generation as well as client invoicing, reporting, monitoring and account management. This cloud-based application connects customers, partners and HP support, acting as a single portal for services, supplies and maintenance for a range of multi-vendor printers and multifunction printers (MFPs).
HP also included Bundled Page pricing that covers supplies, services and parts for resale to customers in an MPS contract. This establishes a stable cost structure through which channel partners can price competitively, the company claims.
Pradeep Jotwani, senior vice president, LaserJet Enterprise Solutions for HP, said customers and partners recognize that mobile devices, print services and printers play a key role in transforming the digital landscape. With these new cloud-based solutions, HP will help drive a higher level of productivity in the office or on the go.
In addition, Salesforce.com users will also get document and time management program called HP Relate. This program creates interactive documents within the Salesforce environment and is an extension of the HP Exstream customer communications management solution.
The cloud-based HP Relate integrates with Salesforce to create and deliver personalized communications, including sales quotes, proposals, direct marketing and correspondences. HP Relate is available on the Salesforce AppExchange at www.appexchange.com.
