Ingram Micro Inc. has promoted Paul Bay, an 18-year veteran of the IT industry and current executive vice president of Ingram Micro North America to the president’s role of the distributor’s North American region.
The current president Keith Bradley has decided to step down at the end of this year. Bradley will stick around to help Bay transition into the role and will then assist Bay through to March of next year.

Mark Snider, the president of Ingram Micro applauded the move saying that Bay is an energetic, proven leader who understands the distribution landscape and know the partner community very well in Canada.One of the aspects of Bay’s background that Snider believes is key is that he has CEO experience. Bay was the CEO of Punch Software.
“Paul is already heavily involved in Canada and is a big supporter of this market and he knows the vendor community very well,” Snider said.Bay said that he’s excited about taking the reins of our North American operations. “North America is operating well and executing on its financial and strategic goals and I am confident we will continue to deliver on our performance objectives,” Bay said in a prepared statement.
Bay will report to Alain Monié, president and chief executive officer, Ingram Micro.
Monie thanked Bradley his contributions to Ingram Micro’s North American operations. “Under his leadership, the team streamlined regional operations, strengthened the performance of the region and drove strategic investments that have resulted in increased profitability through a greater mix of sales of higher-margin products and services. Keith leaves a legacy that will benefit our organization for years to come, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Bay joined Ingram Micro’s U.S. sales organization in 1995 and quickly progressed through roles of increasing responsibility with the company. In 2006, Bay left his position as senior vice president of vendor management at Ingram Micro to become CEO of Punch Software, based in Kansas City, Mo. Bay returned to Ingram Micro in June 2010 to assume the position of executive vice president, with responsibilities for the company’s North American partner-facing activities and Canadian operations. Bay was the chief architect behind the development of a divisional business unit structure in North America, which has led to greater efficiency and productivity, as well as increased revenue growth and profitability, for the region.
