McAfee offers channel new revenue opportunities

Security vendor expands MSP program to address the SMB market

McAfee today announced its Managed Service Provider (MSP) program, providing channel partners with tools, training and resources to build a managed security services business.

This expanded program covers on-premise or cloud and provides a scalable pay-as-you-go monthly subscription security services that address concerns for a small to mid-size business.

The McAfee Managed Service Provider program offers protection for endpoints, servers/networks, virtual environments and mobile devices, in addition to the industry’s broadest security SaaS portfolio, which can all be managed centrally through either McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or the McAfee SaaS management console. The program also features a centralized security management area that McAfee hopes will allow for remote administration of McAfee software and SaaS solutions.</P.

McAfee channel chief Gavin Struthers said that he is seeing tremendous growth in the managed service market fuelled by customer demand for reduced IT complexity and lower cost. McAfee has been in the managed services business for more than a decade. The new MSP program leverages our extensive managed services experience, and provides partners access to the industry’s broadest portfolio of cloud-based and on-premise managed security services via a globally consistent and scalable program.
