Ottawa, Ont.-based managed services provider N-Able Technologies has a metric it likes to use to benchmark performance and measure success: the average growth percentage its MSP partners on a year-over-year basis.
In 2012, the number of clients managed by N-able partners grew an average of 44 per cent, bringing the total number of small and mid-size businesses and enterprises managed by N-able’s N-central RMM platform to more than 82,000. Another performance indicator tracked by N-able is number of devices managed by N-able’s MSP partners, which increased by 67 per cent in 2012.
For 2013, the company President and COO J.P. Jauvin continue to execute against its vision and stated roadmap by introducing advancements to N-central and Automation Manager that will proactively address mobile device management (MDM), as well hybrid IT environments that leverage both private and public clouds.
Jauvin said that N-able will invested in technology, people and processes to standardize, scale and automate IT service delivery models. One of the company’s top priorities is to help MSPs dramatically increase internal productivity and profitability through IT automation and services excellence.
For example, BlueWave Computing, an Atlanta-based N-able MSP Elite partner, saved about $1 million in engineering time and costs in 2012 because of the increased efficiencies and productivity gained from using N-central to automate time-consuming tasks, Jauvin said.
Services such as N-central and Automation Manager schedule and automate routine maintenance tasks that takes engineers up to two hours to perform for each server. Now, that same work takes only 10 minutes, said Sean Vojtasko, executive vice president, BlueWave Computing.
N-Able in 2012 exceeded company growth expectations by 47 per cent and achieved record-high partner satisfaction and growth ratings as well.
