Calgary-based Long View, one of CDN’s Top 100 Solution Providers, is bolstering its managed services business with the appointment of a new vice-president of services delivery.
A Long View veteran, Philip Edgell, will take on the new role with a mandate to further grow the solution provider’s services business and build it into a leader in the North American MSP market.
“We’re excited to have someone on our executive who exclusively represents the service delivery component of our business and the more than 750 people at Long View who work within it,” said Long View president Gord Mawhinney. “Phil will work with the service delivery leaders in all of our branches in Canada and the U.S. to increase the capacity, competency, and consistency of our service delivery — and continue to clearly differentiate us as a service delivery organization.”
Edgell first joined Long View in 2002 as a technical consultant, and later focused on business development, leading the launch of Long View’s branch office.
“Service delivery is a critical part of our business operations at Long View. It’s where the lion’s share of our people spend their time. This allows us to take another step forward in how we represent ourselves in the market,” said Edgell. “Service delivery is the focus of our company, and it continues to become more and more important. For our customers, it provides more value, because it means Long View has an executive dedicated to innovation in the service delivery area.”
