For the BlackBerry diehards that have passed on the touch-only Q10 out of preference a QWERTY keyboard model, your wait is almost over.
Canadian carriers Telus Mobility and Rogers Communications have both begun accepting online pre-orders for the BlackBerry Q10, at a price of $199 on a three-year contract. Telus is advertising a ship date of Apr. 29th, while Rogers is silent on that point.
Rogers is offering the Q10 in black or white for $649.99 without a contract, while Telus is only offering the black model, and wants $700 without a contract.
Waterloo, Ont.-based Blackberry released its Q4 financial earnings in late February, reporting a before tax profit of $94 million for Q4 on revenue of $2.7 billion. The vendor also reported selling 1 million of its new Z10 smartphones in the quarter, which came ahead of the recent launch into the important U.S. market. The vendor also has $1 billion in cash it can dip into to market the new handsets.
