Toronto-based Softchoice, CDN’s No. 1 solution provider, said it will begin offering VMware vCloud Hybrid Service across Canada and the U.S. as part of its managed services.
The vCloud Hybrid Service provides a common platform that spans private and public clouds, enabling organizations to scale their IT infrastructure using the VMware management tools and infrastructure.
David MacDonald, CEO of Softchoice, said hybrid cloud solutions like this one are making it simpler, more cost-effective and less risky for organizations to enhance the performance of their business through the cloud.
To assist clients, Softchoice Solution Architects and Professional Services engineers will provide consultations on the vCloud environment, an overview of pathways to adoption as well as hands-on support with respect to the migration of virtual data center infrastructure.
The vCloud Hybrid Service is part of a much bigger portfolio of “cloud-ready” offerings from Softchoice. This includes consulting and technical expertise to help organizations design and implement private and hybrid cloud architectures as well as managed services for monitoring virtualized environments. Softchoice also offers access public infrastructure-as-a-service offerings as well as Softchoice Cloud – a proprietary platform that provides centralized procurement, deployment, management and support across more than 50 SaaS applications.
